Andhra Pradesh :
We have established 417 ILD centres sanctioned by State Government of Andhra Pradesh in 8 districts namely Kadapa, Nellore, Prakasham, Khammam, Nizamabad, Adilabad, Medak and Mehboobnagar in November 2007.We have established 5 ILD Centre in Medak districts under Allana & Alkabeer scheme.
We have initiated our activities under Andhra Pradesh Rural Livelihoods Project (APRLP) in Anantpur and Kurnool districts by establishing 32 ILD centres. Twenty ILD centres in Anantpur have become operational during October 2006. Whereas, 12 ILD centres in Kurnool have become operational on 22nd December 2006.
We operated 150 ILD centres in 2 districts of the state namely Chittoor and Anantapur. Our programme in Andhra Pradesh has resulted in production of 1,28,174 upgraded/crossbred calves. After completion of the project period of 5 years these centres were handed over ( from November 1, 2005) to Andhra Pradesh Livestock Development Agency for the regular supply of semen and liquid nitrogen. These centres have now become self-sustaining and are running smoothly on their own.
The current status of the operational centres as on 30th April, 2009 is as follows:
